09.10.2015

The Association of European Energy Exchange has voted in favor of gaining four new members. The energy companies: APCS (Austria), CROPEX (Croatia), ELEXON (United Kingdom) and ESCO (Georgia) have joined the Europex membership.

On May 18, 2015, Europex General Assembly appointed Christian Baer as the Secretary General and unanimously voted in favor of adding new members. Europex now represents 24 members in total. The Chairman of the Association, Mr. Massimo Ricci noted that "All Europex members are deeply committed to the common goal of liquid, transparent and efficient energy markets.”

For the Georgian Electricity Market Operator (ESCO), Europex membership is an important step towards the firm establishment at the European energy market. (Since 2014, ESCO is the member of one more Energy Exchange Association APEx, which unites 40 world’s leading energy companies.)
